Detox - S/T

I was lucky enough to see these guys play. There was only about 20 people at the show and the bass player was so drunk he had to stand with his head against the wall so he wouldn't fall over! They supposedly broke into the stock room after the show and took a bunch of booze. I have 2 copies of this, one of which is still sealed!

You grew up in Regina of all places? Yes, and it wasn't as lame as you might think. There was no where else to go between Winnipeg and Calgary so we got all the bands coming through. I lived in a house with some friends and we had a deal with one of the promoters, we got into the shows for free if the bands could stay at our house. There were a lot of bands and a constant party so some of the post may or may not be correct due to memory failure!

A lot of this music has been reissued on CD. If you like the music then please support the band and go buy it!

About Me

It all started in 1981 or 82 in Regina, I was listening to the Clash and bands like that. I went with some friends to a house party and saw a local band called Diplomatic Immunity and that was it for me. I fell in love with the music and the messege and have been listening to it ever since. At the time I didn't have much money so had very few records. The first 3 records I bought were Black Flag Damaged, The Exploited Punks Not Dead and The Subhumans No Wishes No Prayers. In the late 80's I was listening to a lot of metal but got back into punk in the early 90's. I moved to Vancouver in 1990 and searched the city for punk vinyl. I did quite well and now have about 200 -300 records including a sealed copy of No Means No Mama and The Subhumans Incorrect Thoughts!
